School District capital campaign

Budget for the Chatham Central School District Capital Project Monday:

Information session on 1/23/23 and VOTE on 2/14/23

According to the CCSD website, there will be a public information session on Monday, January 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the high school library.  This CAPITAL PROJECT INFORMATION SESSION is scheduled to provide residents with information about the Capital Improvement Project the District is proposing to improve educational facilities and address issues with aging infrastructure.. School officials will provide an overview of the project and its tax impact, followed by a question and answer session and an opportunity for residents to take a brief guided tour of areas in the High School that would benefit from the proposed renovations.

The presentation can also be viewed live at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83976585762. The livestream will provide passive viewing only, viewers will not be able to comment or ask questions.

Last school year, the District conducted a state-required, district-wide Building Condition Survey that identified several areas that require attention due to their age and condition, or where renovating/updating certain spaces would allow those areas to better meet the needs of students and the larger school community.

ALSO SCHEDULED — a VOTE ON THE PROJECT ON 2/14/23!

District residents will decide on the project during a vote scheduled for Tuesday, February 14, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the Mary E. Dardess Elementary School gym.

More information is available on the district’s 2023 Capital Project webpage.
