Caucus May 6! Be there!

All Town of Chatham residents who are registered as Democrats in Columbia County are invited to participate in a Democratic party caucus on Saturday, May 6, at 12:30 p.m. at Tri-Village Fire Company in Old Chatham.  The caucus will receive nominating motions of candidates for town office, and then vote to nominate one for each open spot on November’s ballot. 

Only nominees chosen at the party caucus will appear on the November ballot on the Democratic Party line.

The Chatham Dems nominating committee spent six months interviewing interested candidates and preparing its recommendations:

  • Chris Spencer, for Town Supervisor

  • Angus Eaton, for Town Board

  • John Wapner, for Town Board

  • Mike Hart, for Town Justice

Additional nominations may be made from the floor, as well. 

Current voter registration status as reflected on Columbia County Board of Elections records will be verified at the door for all attendees.  Only currently registered Democrats residing in the Town of Chatham will be admitted to the caucus.
