The North Chatham Free Library’s second annual vegetable garden tour is scheduled for Saturday, July 23. Visit four local, productive, and well-established gardens on this self-guided tour. The gardens are a mix of raised and in-ground beds. Some of the gardens include flowers as a pest deterrent or to attract pollinators. Visitors will learn how the gardeners maximize their production, maintain soil health, or extend the gardening season. All gardeners grow tomatoes but each one applies different strategies for staking their plants. This year’s tour is guaranteed to be exciting and enriching, even if you attended last year's.
Advance tickets are $25, day-of tickets are $30, and kids tour for free. Purchase in advance by contacting the Library at mail@northchathamlibrary.org or calling 518-766-3211.
Come to the Library on July 23 between 8:30 am and 11:00 am to pick up a map, receive directions to the participating gardens, or to purchase day-of tickets. The gardens will be open for tours between 8:30 am and 1:30 pm, rain or shine.
