Join the NCFL and the Columbia Land Conservancy (CLC) for a free intergenerational environmental education program at Siegel-Kline Kill Conservation Area in Ghent.
Lead by Jenifer Rosete, CLC’s Conservation Education Coordinator, participants will explore the stream in search of macroinvertebrates such as crayfish, amphibians and minnows to learn what their presence or absence reveals about the overall environmental health of the stream.
“You’d be surprised what you can find below the surface when you stop and take a closer look,” says Ms. Rosete. “We’re excited to have participants of all ages join us and learn how they can take these observation skills with them whenever they’re out exploring.”
Pre-registration is required; email register@northchathamlibrary.com to sign up.
