If you are considering a new heating/cooling system, wanting to save energy in your home, or curious about how you can impact climate change, then sign up for Heat Pumps in the Hamlet! This program is a requested follow-up to the well-attended Zoom meeting hosted by the North Chatham Free Library with Tara Donadio from HeatSmart Capitol Region on February 8.
On May 24 from 6:00-8:00pm, you will have the opportunity to visit homes in the hamlet of North Chatham that have heat pump installations. Home owners will share their experiences with you and system installers will be on hand to describe why and how decisions were made.
You may choose to visit up to four homes with the following heat pump systems:
1air sourced heat pump
2mini-split heat pumps
geothermal with a closed water system with two wells and solar panels
geothermal with a closed water system and 2 wells or
geothermal water source open system, no new wells drilled and overflow back to soil with solar power.
