Dirty Gaia Seed Saving Workshop on Zoom (Chatham Public Library & North Chatham Library - Held via Zoom)

FREE

Growing your own food from seed is rewarding. Learning how to save seeds, remarkable and generous organisms, for planting another season takes gardening to a new realm. Learn which fruits and veggies are best for seed saving and how to reserve a portion of your crop to let it grow to the seed-setting stage. In this virtual presentation, Sue Sie, creator of Dirty Gaia, will demonstrate how to harvest the seeds, and take you through the basics of wet (tomatoes, cucumbers, melons) and dry (beans, peas, kale, lettuce) threshing. These essential building blocks will support you through all your gardening days.

This program is presented by Dirty Gaia and sponsored by the Columbia County Libraries Association.
