Contributions or gifts to Josh Riley for Congress are not tax deductible. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in an election cycle. Federal law allows individuals to donate up to $6,600 per election cycle: $3,300 for the Primary Election and $3,300 for the General Election. Federal multi-candidate political action committees (PACs) can donate up to $10,000 per election cycle: $5,000 for the Primary Election, and $5,000 for the General Election.

Federal law prohibits contributions from corporations, labor organizations and national banks; from any person contributing another person’s funds; from foreign nationals who lack permanent resident status; and, from federal government contractors.

The Chatham Dems are joining with the New Lebanon Dems and other enthusiastic local supporters to host a fundraiser for Josh Riley, Democratic contender for the Congressional District 19 seat in 2025. The outcome of this race will affect the partisan balance of the U.S. House in 2025.

According to Ballotopedia, "All 435 seats are up for election. Republicans have a 218 to 213 majority with four vacancies....New York's 19th Congressional District is one of 34 congressional districts with a Republican incumbent or an open seat the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is targeting in 2024."
