Two Town Committees seek members

Town Supervisor Donal Collins asked for volunteers to serve on a town committee that is changing direction and a newly forming committee.

“The Town of Chatham has adopted its Comprehensive Plan Update and will subsequently be contemporizing its zoning code. As the Comprehensive Plan Update Committee transitions into the Zoning Update Committee several open positions will become available. If you are a resident of Chatham and interested in volunteering on the team that will review and amend our zoning regulations, please email a letter of interest to chatham@chathamnewyork.us. “We are also filling volunteer seats on the newly formed Community Preservation Fund Advisory Board. We are looking for Chatham farmers and individuals with conservation experience to populate this Board and interact with willing landowners in the preservation of working farms, farmland and parcels of agricultural and ecological importance that have been identified in the previously adopted Community Preservation Plan.
