Town has masks for poor air quality from Canadian wildfires

While the poor air quality conditions of two weeks ago caused by Canadian wildfires have improved in our area, the fires still continue. It’s predicted that we may again be subject to smoke coming into this area off and on while the fires continue.

The Town of Chatham has a reserve of KN95 masks for the public at the Town Hall for anyone who needs them. Additional masks were added to the town’s reserve by the Columbia County Departments of Health and Emergency Management for the current respiratory threat. You can pick up a mask at the Town Hall at 488 State Route 295 during business hours (M-T-TH-F), or contact own Supervisor Collins (Supervisor@chathamnewyork.us) if you require any mask over a weekend.
