Shakespeare
The Chatham Area Recreation Program sponsored a free performance of Shakespeare’s Pericles, Prince of Tyre at the main pavilion at Crellin on Sunday afternoon.
The performance was put on by Will Kempe’s Players, which has been touring Shakespearean works for seven summers. Complete with some audience involvement and inventive staging of ships and storms at sea, the ensemble cast brought a story of love lost and love found to life. The actors stayed on to pose for photos and chat with audience members.
The Chatham Area Recreation Project (CARP) is a non-profit organization that was created in 2017 to raise awareness and support for the recreation, health, vitality and sustainability of the citizens, their recreational areas and facilities in the Chatham area.
