Schools Voting
Local communities voted their overwhelming support for the 2022-23 school budgets and all additional propositions put forward in Chatham Central School District, Ichabod Crane Central School District and New Lebanon Central School District.
Chatham approved the requested Capital Reserve Fund, Ichabod accepted the proposition to purchase four additional buses. New Lebanon approved the request to purchase two new passenger buses.
Residents of Chatham Central School District elected Muriel Faxon and Fred Hutchinson to fill the two regular 3-year term open Board of Education seats. Beth Hover was the candidate with the third most votes and will serve the open two-year term. Marianne Pierro received the lowest vote total and will serve a one-year term to fill out the remainder of a term available due to a member resignation.
The Ichabod Crane Central School District community chose from seven candidates to fill three open Board of Education seats. Current board members Matthew Nelson and Elizabeth Phillips were both re-elected. Newcomer Meghan Lafferty-Brown was selected to serve, as well.
New Lebanon Central School District re-elected current board members John Kalisz and Robert Long. Charleen Kane was elected to serve in the third available seat on the Board of Education.
