School District budget and Board of Education votes coming May 21


Town of Chatham residents are assigned to one of three school districts, pay
school taxes to their respective district and elect members to the district’s
Board of Education. Where and when will YOU vote?

CHATHAM CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
The annual School Budget Vote and Board of Education Election is May 21, 2024 from
9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Mary E. Dardess Elementary School gymnasium.

The CCSD school board has 2 open seats for 3 year terms. The 3 candidates for the
seats are Linda Collett, Beth Hover, and Nikki Lundy, Read about the 3

Information on the CCSD proposed school budget is here, or voters can learn more at a
public hearing scheduled for May 14 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chatham High School
library. The District will also mail its budget newsletter to residents in May.

NEW LEBANON CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
The 2024-25 Budget Vote and Board of Education Election will be on Tuesday, May 21
from 12 pm- 8 pm at the Walter B. Howard Elementary School Gym.


The NLCSD Board of Education has two open seats. Two incumbent board members,
Michael Brutsch and William Buckenroth, have announced their candidacies, and they
are both running unopposed for three-year non-paid terms.

ICHABOD CRANE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
The 2024-25 Budget Vote and Board of Education Election will be on Tuesday, May 21
from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the High School Gymnasium.

Originally, three open seats on the Board of Education were sought by Valerie
Spensieri, Cal Waits, and Anne Schaefer. Now, with the resignation of a current board
member, a fourth seat will be filled with a write-in candidate. The Candidate information
