Highway Cleanup is here!

Events chair Betsy Winters Russell sketched final plans for Chatham Dems’ highway cleanup days Friday April 22 and Sunday April 24. Judi Matthews sent a survey asking for volunteers.  

On Friday the 22nd, volunteers from Chatham Dems will gather at 9:30 a.m. at Crellin Park to receive training and work assignments. On Sunday the 24th, volunteers will meet at the job site (Route 66) and receive training from those trained by state officials on Friday. 

This duty occurs at least twice a year. After doing it twice, permanent signage will be posted on Rte 66 identifying Chatham Dems as the patron of this stretch.  

Carol Moore is preparing signs for be used temporarily during the upcoming work days.
