FREE STORE IS UP AND RUNNING
The Town of Chatham Free Store is officially open behind the Town Hall, located at 488 State Route 295 east of the Village.
What is a FREE STORE? It’s a unique way for people to responsibly get rid of functional and gently used items they no longer need by putting them into the hands of others who can use them, free of charge. Free stores are popping up all around the world and represent a way to recycle and reuse, to rethink shopping habits, and to forge community ties.
Come check out the assortment of shoes, clothes, games and kid’s toys, kitchen pots / pans and utensils, housewares, and other goods. All are free for the taking if you are in need of something for your home or your family for any reason.
Hours are from 10 AM to 4 PM, every Tuesday and Thursday, and 9 AM to Noon on Saturdays.
Per the Town Clerk, donation days are currently scheduled for the last Saturday of every month, with the next donation day falling on March 30.
Check it out, and call the Town Clerk’s office with any questions at 518-392-1655.
