This forum will review the latest trends in Columbia County housing outlined in a recent study commissioned by the Columbia Economic Development Corporation.

 The report concludes that there is a demonstrated need for additional affordable housing and resources for the preservation and improvement of existing housing, for both renters and homeowners.

 In addition to public service education about the need for a wide array of housing options, recommended strategies include: small incremental development of new rental housing, preservation / improvement of existing housing stock, and increased opportunities for home ownership.
